Vaio P update in works, expected before year end

Sony plans to update its Vaio P – portable notebook with a 2nd generation model this fall. Vaio Pocket disappointed with its software capabilities and slow performance. At this moment details are scarce about what really is coming but the ‘mark 2′ Vaio P would most probably feature Windows 7 and promises ‘much-improved boot-up time’.

Sony recently announced the Vaio W netbook, which surely hints that Vaio P would continue to be a premium ultraportable. Just hope that they don’t end up increasing the price, for some reason my complain of expensive products from Sony remains constant.
