Modu, the manufacturer of the World’s lightest cellphones, is all set to introduce its Moduphones in the market. Israel would be the first country where the ModuPhones and ModuJackets would be introduced. The launch on Wednesday would be followed by a full commercial launch in collaboration with Cellcom Israel. Later, the phones would be launched in Europe, Southeast Asia and South America by the end of this year.
The company is offering ModuJackets and ModuPouch along with the ModuPhones for free of cost. The customers would have a wide range of ModuJackets to choose from. For the customers who would help Modu and Cellcom improve with continuous feedbacks, the duo would be offering free airtime.
Dov Moran, CEO and founder of modu, says, “The initial launch is a milestone in modu’s development. The decision to introduce modu in our home country of Israel and specifically with Cellcom Israel, the largest cellular operator in Israel is of great significance to us. The launch in Israel is the first among others planned for later this year in other countries."
At the initial launch, limited number of Modu phones would be available through Cellcom call centers and Cellcom’s online store. The introductory Modu kit would be available at $125 starting the sale tomorrow.
