Palm released an update to webOS for its Palm Pre device Wednesday. The new version, 1.1.0, according to its release notes, “resolves an issue preventing media sync from working with the latest version of iTunes (8.2.1).”
The update comes after last week’s update to iTunes, which broke the Pre’s ability to sync with iTunes. Despite Apple’s notoriety for closed systems, personally, I don’t see why this effects them. I would think they would enjoy extra revenue from Pre customers that they might otherwise not receive. But, expect Apple to release yet another update which again “addresses an issue with verification of Apple devices.”
The update also adds emoticons, Exchange support, new gestures, and faster loading times. For a full list of features and updates view Palm’s website.
