Sony has added two new products to its awesome lineup of digital cameras. The new DSC-W180 and DSC-W190 are just 18.7mm thick and are functionally easy enough for your grandma to click some stills quite comfortably. Sony’s W-series is known for functionality like automatic Face Detection, SmileShutter, digital SteadyShot and automatic optimization of image settings. Both the cameras come with a clear photo 2.7″ LCD display and come with a brushed metal chassis.
The cameras offer 10.1 and 12.1 Mp resolution respectively, which assures high quality printable images. Both cameras allow the user a 3x optical zoom and upto 17x smart zoom in case of W180 while 18x smart zoom in case of W-190. Face detection recognizes upto 8 faces in a scene and the Digital SteadyShot assures that the images are not blurred out when you are a bit shaky while capturing a moment. The Digital SteadyShot smartly captures two images consecutively and then superimposes one on the other to reduce the blur effect dramatically.
The camera also incorporates an ISO 3200 mode that supports high sensitivity to capture images in dim lights or while capturing moving objects. Smile-Shutter captures the image automatically when the person in the focus smiles. W-series also includes various picture modes to adjust to the ambient light like High Sensitivity, Twilight, Twilight Portrait, Landscape, Soft Snap, Snow and Beach.
The pictures and videos captured can be transferred to a computer using the USB cable. Picture Motion Browser software allows the easy maintenance and viewing of pictures and videos on the camera. eDeco feature of these cameras allows the users to add mood-enhancing elements to their photos and videos.
The cameras would be available at all the Sony deals and Authorized Sony World shops in three colors – red, black and silver. The DSC-W180 is priced at Rs.8,990 and the DSC-W190 would be available at Rs.9,990.
