Rubik's Cube inventor brings a new brain-teaser: R360

The inventor of Rubik’s Cube is all set to tease your brains again with his new puzzle. Dubbed 360, an invention by Professor Erno Rubik will hit the market this week. The new brain teaser comes from the same inventor whose famous Rubik’s cube has sold more than 350 million puzzles since it was introduced in 1980.

The R360 puzzle is a made of plastic and consist of three concentric spheres. The outer sphere is consist of six protruded coloured holes each corresponding to six different colored balls. The balls need to be brought to the corresponding hole from the inner sphere to the outer one through the middle sphere which consist of only two holes.

David Hedley Jones, senior vice president of the Rubik brand, said: “It doesn’t need batteries and looks as though it should be quite easy. But it is incredibly complicated. There are some really cunning tricks to it”. The new puzzle has already had thousands of enquiries on the web. The head of Hamleys, a London toy store says, “It is our biggest item on the web. I expect thousands to be sold in days”.

Rubik’s cube has been the highest selling toy all across the world and this new puzzle is also expected tease your brains further. The toy will be available this week at a price of £18.
