Nokia has officially announced its rugged handset which suits the best for the adventurous and the careless. The adventurous can enjoy their phone in their unusual outdoor environment and the careless can just be themselves with the handset that can take care of itself. Certified IP-54, the handset can resist water, dust and shock. The protective casing would make sure that no foreign particles disrupt the functioning of any of the tiny parts inside the phone.
“Whether using it at the beach or in a dusty construction site, the Nokia 3720 classic has been specifically engineered to withstand the splashes, bumps and drops that come with the terrain,” said Markku Suomi, vice president, Connect devices. “While the Nokia 3720 classic is tough on the outside, it is equally functional on the inside – a perfect choice for people who want a long-lasting and reliable mobile phone for any environment.”
The symbian S40 series handset is completely leak proof to protect the internal circuitry. It also boosts of some decent specs like 2Mp camera with LED flash, 2.2″ TFT display, Bluetooth and USB connectivity. Its a Tri-band GSM phone under the Nokia Classic series. For the music lovers on the go, the phone also features an FM radio with Music Player and MicroSD card support expandable upto 1GB.
The phone would be retailing at Rs.8,520 (EUR 125, $175) excluding the taxes and subsidies. Competing with Samsung’s B2100 and at the price of an N-series, this one looks a little costly, but the ruff n tough guyz would love it.
