WD has introduced its new My Passport Studio portable drives which features its new superfast FireWare 800 interface and a highly innovative customizable e-label(Gosh! I always wanted one on my portable drives. Thanks WD. You are such a savior). They are stylishly sleek and trendy looking. But the big news is that these are formatted to work with your Mac computers. I can already see the Apple fan boys jumping with joy.
Its also loaded with the automatic and continuous backup software called WD SmartWare.They also have the user selected password protection alongwith the 256-bit hardware-based encryption scrambling file before storage (This feature is usually found on costlier drives). To add to it, they have packaged the product with eco-friendly recycled materials. Making it a “green drive” along with the normal portable drive tag.
Offered in capacities of 320 GB, 500 GB and 640 GB its price starts from Rs. 9,600/- for 500GB and Rs. 10,750/- for 640GB in India.
