The problem with all speakers is that the full stereo effect is limited to a certain “sweet spot” around it. If your ears are in that sweet spot, you enjoy the “full stereo”. The moment you swing your head out of the sweet spot, the 3D-sound (or full stereo) effect vanishes.
SweetSpotter is an app that uses a webcam (and face-detection) to track your the position of your head and adjusts the volume and delay of each channel accordingly, to give you a perfect experience of the stereo output of your speakers.
The SweetSpotter app aims to optimize the sweet spot according to the position of your head, thus giving you perfect stereo experience. The app is available for download on its official page and is for WinXp, Vista and Win7 systems only.
If affordable I would prefer to buy a pair of headphones, with inbuilt 7.1 channel surround sound!
