Now thats a surprise ! While most smartphones are playing the megapixel game, unexpected! but its Spice that is bringing a 3x optical zoom to a cellphone. The Spice S-1200 that is said to be priced around Rs 14,500 ($315). The same old question ‘will cellphones would replace digital cameras?” is back in my mind now.
Spice has been advertising hard recently and aim to sell a million handsets a month (which is a modest target given the fact that India is the fastest growing mobile market, but my past experience with Spice for some reason makes me feel that the S-1200 won’t be a game changer at all.
