Toshiba has introduced its first stand alone Blu-ray disc player, dubbed the BDX2000. This player promises to bring affordable high definition entertainment to your home.
"Toshiba is a technology leader in high definition products," commented Jodi Sally, Vice President of Marketing, Digital A/V Group. "From listening to our consumers we know they demand access to full high definition content. With the introduction of our BDX2000 we are offering consumers what they want with a breath-taking HD viewing experience to meet the needs of today's home theater."
The player has some decent features, such as full HD video output, AVCHD playback, Dolby true HD, DTS-HD master audio and SD card support, along with REGZa-LINK (HDMI-CEC). The BD-live allows users to have interactive sessions over an Ethernet connection.
The Energy-star rating makes the player eco-friendly as it consumes less power. The device can be operated through a remote or through the primary keys hidden behind a drop-down door at the front. The REGZA-LINK allows to connect the device to a REGZA LCD TV through HDMI cable.
The stylish smoke-mirrored front panel makes the player an essential living room or entertainment centre accessory, complementing any room it is kept in.
The BDX2000 will be available from November ‘09 with a price tag of $249.99.
