Epson has introduced two new home-theater projectors to add up to its existing lineup of other projectors. The bright 720p projector with many connectivity options is the Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 705HD. While the Epson MovieMate 60 consist of more advanced home-theater features bundled.
Talking about the Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 705HD, the projector features loads of connectivity options including HDMI 1.3 interface plus component video, S-Video and USB connectors. Photos on a flash drive can be viewed as a slide show using its USB port. The projector also features automatic keystone correction, 1.2X optical zoom and four color modes for different home entertainment experiences. The input resolution could be upto 1080p, but the projector output is limited to 540p.
Now the Epson MovieMate 60 (shown in picture above), is a all-in-one home theater entertainment system with built in CD/DVD player, speakers and a microphone jack. The 2,000 lumen, 3LCD projector can display a 120-inch image over a distance of 12 feet. The Epson MovieMate 60 is portable at 5″ x 9.3″ x 3.4″ and weighs 9.7 pounds. The projector can be carried in a cushioned carrying case through a built-in handle. The aspect ratio is 16:9, supporting widescreen HDTV content. The plug-and-play connectivity allows it to connect easily to computers, camcorders, flash drives, digicams and MP3 players. Also compatible with Xbox, Playstation, Wii and iPod.
The projectors would be available in October. Epson Moviemate 60 would be available for a price of $700 while the Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 705HD would cost $750. Both projectors come with a 2-year limited warranty.
