10 meaningless gizmos that we shamefully featured

Yeah meaningless, but still loved by some. Such are these weird concepts, shapes and design, but somewhere geeky gadgets that we featured over the years.

WiFi Detecting Cap: There is absolutely no practical use for this WiFi detecting cap and formany onlookers this would be nothing but some fancy lights on your head. I would have given this a try if it could speak out in my ears and tell me if there is a WiFi network out there, instead of expecting me to look at my forehead and figure that out

Lightbulb Keychain with USB: We are going to see some weird USB drives here. This particular one is a keychain with USB drive. But I wonder why would someone opt for this funny shape? And my old concern that this would really lift your notebook off the table when you try to use this as a USB drive.

Chilli USB Drive: Even if I end up being a chef, I wouldn’t use this.

Clothespin USB flash drive: Apart from the sensuous pictures used to promote this idea, there is nothing exciting here. I don’t see anyone student or professional using this stuff!

USB Fridge: If at home, I surely don’t need this. And if this is something you expect to carry around with your notebook, I would certainly try and convince you to carry a printer-scanner aswell (its called a notebook, portable PC for a reason!).

Piggy Mouse: No we didn’t feature this during H1N1 days. It came long before that

Grenade USB Drive: This is something that would have been really trendy before 9/11 days. Unfortunately this thing has arrived 8 years late for me.

Fruit powered watch: I would rather eat the fruit and use the lemon water powered watch. However the looks is cool. Wonder if this will pitch to Steve Jobs to promote this.

SPY dog camera: Believe me I really respect my dogs privacy. And I really have better things to blow away those $ on. To start with some dog biscuits
