Eric Tseng, senior product manager (Android), has spilled the beans on the name of the next version of Android. Eric told Engadget, that the next version of Android would be called Froyo which is short for “frozen yogurt”. The new name fits right in the delicious lineup of android names after Cupcake, Donut and Eclair.
Apart from the name, no other details were given by Eric like when the next version would be released or what the next version would have to offer. For now, the name sure gets us tempted for another delicious version of Android that would hopefully arrive just in time for a showdown with the upcoming iPhone 4th Gen
