While we still wait for some promising ‘tablets‘ to replace them, the e-book readers are not only growing in numbers but also reporting some decent sales figures. For now, the new to join the list of e-book readers is the BeBook Neo from Endless Ideas.
It is the first e-book reader with WiFi and access to eBook stores worldwide. Featuring a 6″ Vizplex display (800 x 600 resolution), it is powered by a 532MHz Freescale CPU. It has an SD expansion support with 512 MB of internal memory. The connectivity options include USB 2.0 and WiFi along with a 3.5mm headphone jack. A full battery charge is good to go for almost 7,000 page turns. It also supports major popular file formats like ePUB, PDF and JPG. For those who love to annotate and add text mark-ups, it has WACOM technology.
The Endless Ideas BeBook reader would start shipping from Feb 2010 and can be pre-ordered now.
