I have probably mentioned it a dozen times that Samsung is missing a smart OS in its touchscreen range (viz Corby, Star) and perhaps BADA OS would fill that gap. We are hearing that the S8200 would be the first BADA OS phone from Samsung and might well be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress later this month. The S8200 is said to be a Snapdragon powered high-end touchscreen, that would feature a 3.7″ AMOLED screen (), 5MP camera, WiFi, GPS, HSPA etc. Hope they also manage to get a more mature OS for the low end touchscreens aswell after the mega BADA OS launch is done with.
In other news it is also confirmed that Samsung GT-S8500 would be the first smartphone to support USB 3.0 which has just been cleared by the Bluetooth SIG. Another full touchscreen with a 3.1″ OLED display the S8500 might well be one of the BADA OS releases at MWC. Exciting stuff happening from Samsung, hope they live up to the hype.
